Churches 

Download the map before you leave home then start your walk outside the Black Dog. The purpose of this map is to start you on your journey of discovery and to point out some places of interest, there are far more areas to explore. Have fun matching up the old photos with the modern locations. 

This walk should take approximately two hours. It is all accessible for wheelchairs and buggies. There are a number of places where you can stop for refreshments or to use the facilities. You many find that driving to some locations is easier. Plan your route before you start.

HOLY TRINITY

Holy Trinity Church is a Free Church of England Church on Union Road, at the bottom of New Lane.

IMMANUEL

Heading up New Lane, Immanuel Church is on the left hand side.

NEW CHURCH

Union Road New Church is where the old Co-op was.

MELBOURNE ST

Melbourne St Chapel is currently being converted to flats.

CHAPEL ST

When you stand at the end of Chapel Street take a look at the first floor of the Chapel at the end.

ST PAUL'S

Hiding on Catlow Hall St, St Paul's Church is a CofE Church.

ST MARY'S RC

St Mary's RC Church is also on Catlow Hall Street.
