Church and Oswaldtwistle Rotary

A local community organisation

A friendly group meeting regularly who look at ways of supporting projects mainly locally but sometimes internationally too. Our emphasis is on fellowship and support for the local community. We are constantly seeking out new opportunities to improve our community and provide help to projects both new and ongoing.

East Lancashire Concert Band

A local community wind band. New members of all ages and abilities welcome. Sunday morning rehearsals from 10am to 12noon at civic Arts Centre.

Friends of Rhyddings Park

The Friends of Rhyddings Park (FoRP) are a local voluntary group who support the local council and work in partnership with many groups to help maintain and improve Rhyddings Park. The FoRP are working to bring 'The Rhyddings Community Events Programme' to the park once all the redevelopments have been completed new volunteers are always welcome.

Hippings Vale Community Centre

Perfect for Parties and Meetings

Hyndburn Walking Group

Hyndburn Stepping Out (part of Walking for Health) run free weekly walks around Hyndburn from 1/2 hour to 1 and a 1/2 hours. For information of the Oswaldtwistle walk and other walks click on the website link.

Martial Arts Training

Voluntary organisation established over 21 years. Training in traditional Japanese Ju Jitsu. Encouraging fitness, confidence and friendship as well as self defence. Juniors age 7+ and adults. Meets every Monday and Wednesday evening at West End Community Centre, Oswaldtwistle.

Meet N Match

Friendship and Dating Agency

Meet N Match is a friendship and dating agency for people with learning disabilities. We provide regular social events at the Civic Arts Centre and Black Dog in Oswaldtwistle. We aim to reduce social isolation and help people to develop and maintain friendships and relationships.

Unique and ground breaking project

Play4uz2 is a ground breaking project to raise funds to build a playground for children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities at Hyndburn Leisure Centre. Once built it will be the first of its kind in the North West.

Spring into Action

Inclusive Sports Club

Spring into Action is a community interest company providing inclusive activities for people with learning disabilities in Hyndburn and surrounding areas. One of the projects is Spring into Sport, which is an inclusive club for people with and without disabilities, taking place fortnightly on a Friday evening at New Era, Accrington.
